We did a list of the incentives and rewards offered by IQBar a number of months ago but as the company is developing so rapidly, the last post quickly became out of date.

Since our initial post in May, we have created an additional six new award and bonus schemes. IQBar has high hopes for this year and by being part of the team, you automatically become part of this movement. A key player in a growing, caring language school.

So what are all the awards on offer, both old and new?

The Leaderboard 

IQBar’s leaderboard was initially for the Buddies who were most chosen by Breadies each month. However, for a long time this meant that only the same few faces made the top spot as Breadies would see the top three and only want to be taught by them. We decided to change it so that we could monitor all our Buddies and make sure that those who performed well would get their time on the leader board. This is monitored by good reviews, by our team and the sales team noticing Buddies performing well, and also by popularity amongst Breadies. This means that Buddies who provide excellent sessions but who haven’t managed to get many sessions booked, and new Buddies who have only a few sessions under their belt, also get the chance to be booked up on the popularity wave. 

If you make the top three on the leader board you will not only get the chuffed feeling of being top of the class but will also receive a bonus as a well done from IQBar for all your hard work! 

Number 1 on the leader board receives £50, Second place gets £30, and third £20!

Successful Taster sessions 

There are two different types of sessions at IQBar, ‘Normal’ sessions and ‘Taster’ sessions. Breadies will first have a taster session before signing up to make sure that the platform is for them. Of course, the most important part to this is the Buddy and the relationship formed between Bready and Buddy. 

We like to award Buddies who manage to conduct successful taster sessions by giving a £20 bonus for every successful taster session where the Bready signs up for a package. This is an excellent opportunity to sell all of your amazing teaching qualities whilst also making a little extra money on the side!  

The Monthly Awards: 

Each month we celebrate the hard work of our Buddies by giving out five £30 awards: 

Young Learners Award  

Awarded to the Buddy who is considered to have conducted the best sessions with young learners under seven. This is decided by feedback given and from observations.

Availability Award 

For the Buddy who is available for the most days during peak hours.

Progress Reward 

Awarded to the Buddy who has acted on feedback and progressed the most in that month. They have shown the ability to develop their teaching style further which is very important.

Contribution Award

This is an award for those who have put time and energy into creating resources for both themselves and for other Buddies. We have developed a great pool of resources thanks to our dedicated and generous Buddies so this is a prize to acknowledge the hard work the contributors do.

Social Media Megastar Award

This award was created recently as an acknowledgement of the efforts Buddies make each month in fostering a sense of community online and spreading awareness of IQBar.

Each Buddy who is rewarded will receive £30 as a thank you for their efforts! 

The Weekly Feedback Awards: 

To coincide with us developing our feedback system, we have recently introduced 3 new weekly awards which particularly focus on development of our Buddies during feedback sessions. Weekly or fortnightly, our Feedback Consultants watch sessions from each of our Buddies and give feedback on their progress, what they’re doing well, and what area they could develop. Each week our Feedback consultants will select three winners who will receive £30. Their sessions will be made available for all Buddies to watch with their reason for why they were chosen.

These three awards are:

Excellent Extender

For the Buddy who developed and extended the session resources to tailor the session to the Bready’s needs.

Buddy Bullseye

For the Buddy who met all of their previous targets from the previous feedback.

Brilliant Buddy

For the Buddy who had an all round excellent session.

Other Incentives

Weekly Contribution Award

We are always looking for Buddies to write for the blog and share what they’ve learnt, their opinions and anecdotes about their experiences. We will reward £10 to a Buddy who writes an article for the blog on either a topic of their choice or suggestions from the team with a min. of 1000 words.


Weekly Buddy Seminar – and in conjunction, the Attendance Prize Draw

Each week we hold a Buddy seminar on a teaching concept that could prove useful for Buddies. This can be around teaching tips, new skills and advice, or alternatively about technical matters to do with the website or admin.

This in itself is an excellent support system but we know that Buddies are busy people and it can be difficult to find the time to attend or watch the seminars. As an acknowledgement of the time taken to watch the seminar and participate, we have created a fun prize draw at the end of each month where the winner will receive an extravagant hand puppet. What more could you want?

Cambridge Courses

We have teamed up with Cambridge University Press to offer 12 week and 6 week online development course. These courses cover a range of topics from teaching grammar to motivating teenage learners. 


If you sign up to IQBar you are automatically entitled to Perkbox, our employee reward scheme. As part of this there is a whole range of free elearning courses you can take on a whole range of subjects. On top of this there is a wide range of high street, supermarket and online discounts as well as free mobile phone insurance. Happy saving!

Referral Fee

If you refer someone to IQBar and they successfully complete training, you will receive £10.

Option of Progression

As IQBar is always expanding, we are always looking for new members to join the team. If Buddies are particularly hard working, enthusiastic and reliable, the IQBar team will try and fit them to a suitable role!
